Warchief War Room - (Stylized)

This year, I was approached by several recruiters for 3D Generalist positions – a field I’ve been working in for years. However, even with positive feedback on my portfolio, I never moved forward in the process since my focus has always been on realism and semi-realism, while the opportunities were for stylized projects.

Makes sense, right? But I decided to challenge myself: over the past week, I created my very first original stylized diorama. I had never done anything in this style before, and it turned out to be an incredibly fun experience that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Now I can confidently say I feel comfortable working with this type of art as well, something I always felt was missing in my skill set.
This exercise reminded me of the importance of not only analyzing an artist’s portfolio but also listening to their perspective and willingness to grow. Often, dedication and the drive to learn can lead to surprising results in a short amount of time.
I hope you enjoy this piece and my little story behind it.
